Hey there, all my watchers and stalkers. ~DynamoExposure and I are heading up a little organization and we're in need of members and people who would like to participate. What is it, you ask? Well read on, my children, read on.



EDIT: The parade is JUNE 20TH!! Not the 27th. That was totally my bad. ~DynamoExposure was like NO THAT'S WRONG THAT'S THE DATE FROM LAST YEAR and I was like, oh crap I'm sorry. So....IT CONTINUES!!!!

Those of you who live here in Colorado (or who will be in Colorado this June and would be interested in joining us) are invited to join the Colorado Free Hugs Campaign, with ~DynamoExposure as your president and me as a Vice Prez. This is a group with the intention of someday becoming a non-profit organization to benefit GLBTQQI(whatever idk all the letters anymore) youth in Colorado. This coming June 20th is the annual Gay Pride Parade in denver, and we are going to march in it. This is an event for people who are gay, transgendered people, straight people who aren't narrow, and basically anyone who supports gay rights and the Queer community in all its shapes and sizes (this means you, yaoi/yuri fans.) This is the first year we will be marching, and we would love people to march with us. Here's a brief list of things you need to know if this interests you:

We will have shirts made in all colors with 'Free Hugs' on them as our parade marching uniforms (and for you to keep afterwards)
There is a charge for us to march, so we're asking all the people who are coming to contribute and it shouldn't be more than about $11.00 a person. This fee includes the price of the tee shirts. ^^ Well, it should be below $20, but that's only if we get enough people.
The parade and event are for all ages, however if half-naked people, possible cursing, and protestors (all peaceful, of course) would in any way not sit well with you, then this isn't your event.
Cosplay is allowed! I cleared it with the president, just because this being devArt I knew I would get that question. Can you attend as yaoi couples or whatever? Yes, but we would prefer a street-clothes costume and you are required to wear the Free Hugs shirt. If you want to wear wigs, go for it. I, personally, am not going to cosplay at this event, because to be honest, it isn't really a cosplaying sort of venue. Also, It's June and every year we've gone it's been really freaking hot, and wigs SUCK when it's really really hot. So, I'm not encouraging cosplay, but I'm not going to say you can't. ^_^

If you would like to be a part of this, and have a awesome good time ^^, please come to our informational meeting February 25th at 6:30 at the GLBT center on 1050 Broadway in Denver. This meeting is very very important, and if you interested AT ALL I strongly encourage you to come and learn about what's going to happen. Even if you aren't sure about participating, you're welcome to come to the meeting and then make your decision after you have all the information.

We are totally serious, and we will be marching in the parade this year. PLEASE if you are seriously interested (and I would LOVE to see all of you who can make it) reply to this journal, or send me a note, and we will get you all the information you need.
